According to the agency, intense precipitation could trigger hazardous mudflow and flash flood events in several regions.
In Tashkent region, the warning covers the districts of Ohangaron, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Urta Chirchiq and Yuqori Chirchiq, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk.
In Namangan region, the areas at risk include the districts of Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan and Yangiqorgon.
The warning also applies to Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana and Besharyk districts of Fergana region.
In Andijan region, mudflows and flash floods are possible in Andijan, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qorgontepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad and Marhamat districts, as well as the city of Khanabad.
Uzhydromet urged residents of foothill and mountainous areas, as well as tourists and motorists planning trips to mountain regions, to exercise extreme caution and follow all safety recommendations.
Forecasters also warned that heavy rainfall could lead to localized accumulations of rainwater in some parts of the country, increasing the risk of flooding in low-lying areas.
