Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar met on Monday for an expanded round of negotiations following their one-on-one discussions.
"Following our talks in a restricted format, we continued our open, candid and substantive dialogue with H.E. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, together with our delegations," Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He said the talks focused on implementing the tasks set by the leaders of Uzbekistan and India, advancing bilateral cooperation across all areas, and exchanging views on current regional and international issues.
The ministers also held detailed discussions on further expanding trade, economic and investment ties, strengthening transport and logistics connectivity, and enhancing cooperation in other promising areas.
According to Saidov, both sides expressed confidence that the regular and trust-based dialogue between the foreign ministries would help further deepen bilateral relations and ensure the timely and full implementation of the agreements reached.
