In a post on her Telegram channel, Saida Mirziyoyeva said Tashkent is developing rapidly but still has a shortage of green areas, making the creation of new recreational spaces and large-scale landscaping one of the city's key priorities.
She said she had visited several important sites across the capital to assess their potential for redevelopment into public spaces that would better serve residents.
Among the locations inspected was a park on Afrosiyob Street, where plans are being developed to create a comfortable recreational area accessible to everyone. Discussions also covered the renovation of Sayilgoh Street, Amir Temur Avenue and adjacent areas, as well as the expansion of the Bobur Ecopark and the Mirzo Ulugbek Park.
According to Mirziyoyeva, the overarching goal is to restore Tashkent's status as a "green city" by creating more open spaces where residents can relax, spend time outdoors and enjoy a safer, more comfortable urban environment.
She added that landscaping efforts should continue systematically while making more effective use of existing infrastructure, stressing that work to improve the quality of life for the capital's residents should begin without delay.
