President of Tajikistan to pay state visit to Uzbekistan
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26–27.

The visit’s itinerary includes high-level negotiations and the inaugural meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, which will be chaired by the leaders of both countries.
The agenda for the upcoming events focuses on further strengthening the ties of friendship, good neighborliness, and the strategic partnership and alliance between the two nations. Special attention will be paid to:
- Strengthening political dialogue and expanding trade and economic ties.
- Enhancing regional cooperation and industrial collaboration.
- Developing connectivity in the transport sector.
- Ensuring water and energy security.
- Continuing extensive cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state are also expected to exchange views on pressing international and regional issues, as well as cooperation within the framework of multilateral organizations.
Furthermore, the visit is anticipated to result in the launch of several new joint projects. A substantial package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation is also planned to be signed.
