The semiofficial Tasnim News Agency, citing judicial authorities in Minab, reported that the death toll from the strike in Hormozgan province has risen to 85. Emergency personnel continue to navigate the wreckage at the site. The state-run IRNA news agency added that at least 63 individuals sustained injuries in the blast and are currently receiving medical treatment.
These strikes are characterized as part of an intensified wave of joint military operations by U.S. and Israeli forces within Iranian territory. The escalation has sparked a surge in violence across the region, drawing sharp condemnation from Tehran’s leadership.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi addressed the international community via social media, sharing images of the devastated school. Labeling the incident an attack on "innocent children," Araghchi stated that "crimes against the Iranian people will not go unanswered." Concurrently, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denounced the strike as a "blatant crime" and formally called upon the United Nations Security Council to intervene.
In a separate development, the Mehr news agency reported an additional strike on a school east of Tehran, which resulted in the deaths of at least two students.
