Traffic safety authorities registered and reissued 112,500 vehicles, marking an 11% increase compared with September. Passenger car sales reached 95,400 units, rising 12.7% month-on-month and remaining nearly flat compared with October 2024 (-0.02%).

Sales growth was particularly strong in Namangan, Jizzakh, and Bukhara regions, where car sales increased by more than 20%. Meanwhile, demand slightly declined in Samarkand region and Karakalpakstan.

In the new car segment, sales rose almost 19% month-on-month and 8.6% year-on-year. Dealers sold 6,000 more vehicles than the previous month, bringing total new car sales to 38,000 units.

The growth was driven primarily by new locally manufactured cars, which reached 33,400 units (+22% month-on-month). In contrast, demand for foreign-made cars grew only 1% to 4,500 units.

On the secondary market, 57,400 used vehicles were sold, showing a 9% increase compared with September. However, year-on-year demand for used cars declined by nearly 5%.

Electric vehicles were an exception. Buyers purchased more than 3,000 electric cars with mileage during October – a 15% increase from September and 2.3 times higher than the same period last year.
