Traffic violations caught on camera to count toward driver penalty points
Starting from 1 April 2026, Uzbekistan will begin assigning penalty points for traffic violations detected by automated photo and video recording systems.
When a violation is recorded, both the vehicle owner and the actual driver (identified through the insurance policy or trip log) will be verified, and the penalty points will be applied specifically to the driver.
Within three months, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) will integrate a new feature into the E-jarimaball system to add penalty points for offenses recorded by cameras and radars, bringing the system fully into operation.
The penalty point system was initially launched on 1 June 2025. During its first phase, points were assigned only for violations directly recorded by TSD officers.
