The Antimonopoly Committee’s press service reported that UzAuto Motors has introduced several changes to its vehicle supply agreements.
According to the statement, the manufacturer’s dealership contracts were found to contain provisions that violated applicable legislation. As a result, the company has amended 21 clauses in its standard documents.
Specifically, a clause allowing delivery deadlines to be extended by up to 120 days if a customer signed multiple contracts for the same car model within a year has been removed. Previously, the company could delay delivery under such conditions. Additionally, the refund period after signing a supplementary agreement has been reduced from 30 days to 10 days.
Another amendment concerns production delays beyond the manufacturer’s control. Previously, clause 3.1 of the contract allowed delivery deadlines to be extended by up to 45 days in such cases, and this was included under the seller’s obligations. That clause has now been moved to the force majeure section of the contract.
The updated version of the contract also includes clearer definitions of the seller’s obligations under applicable legislation.
