Uzbekistan declares May 9–11 holidays for Day of Remembrance and Honor
Uzbekistan has announced public holidays in connection with the Day of Remembrance and Honor, which is observed on May 9.
According to the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, the following days will be non-working days:
- May 9 (Friday) – Day of Remembrance and Honor (official public holiday)
- May 10 (Saturday) – Day off for those working a 5-day week; a working day for those on a 6-day schedule
- May 11 (Sunday) – Regular day off
As a result:
- Those on a 5-day workweek will have a three-day holiday: May 9–11
- Those on a 6-day workweek will have two days off: May 9 and May 11
