Number of students in Uzbekistan’s universities nears 600 thousand

According to the State Statistics Committee, at the beginning of the 2020/21 academic year, the number of students studying in higher education institutions in the country amounted to 571.5 thousand.

Of this:

311.5 thousand – male students
260 thousand – female students

88 out of 127 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have dormitories for students.
