Uzbekistan’s permanent population reaches 34.5 million people
The permanent population of Uzbekistan increased by 653.7 thousand people in 2020, the State Statistics Committee reported.

According to the committee, as of January 1, 2021, the permanent population of the Republic reached 34.5 million people.
The population increased by 653.7 thousand people compared to the same period last year. The permanent population growth rate was 1.9%.
The country’s population grew by an average of 54.5 thousand people a month or by 1.8 thousand people a day.
