A large LNG truck explodes in Samarkand, seven vehicles burned down

A truck, carrying liquefied gas, exploded in Samarkand region. As a result, seven vehicles located nearby burned down, the Investigation Department under the Interior Ministry said.
It was noted that today, November 20, 2019, at about 03:30, a MAN truck, transporting liquefied natural gas, caught fire for unknown reasons. The truck was parked at the Timur GAZ LLC parking lot, located on the Samarkand-Guzar A-378 highway, which runs through the Nurabad district of Samarkand region.
Reportedly, 2 MAN and 2 ZIL trucks, as well as 1 DAF truck and HYUNDAI excavator burned down as a result of the explosion.
An investigation team, emergency services and ambulances were attracted to the scene of the incident.
According to preliminary data, one of the drivers was hospitalized with bodily injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
