Russia delivers modern metro cars to Uzbekistan

In Russia, a ceremony was held on the occasion of sending 20 modern Russian metro cars to Uzbekistan, TASS reports.
The cars were produced at the JSC Metrovagonmash of the Moscow Oblast. It is a part of JSC Transmashholding, which is the largest company on the railway machine-building market.
The export project for the supply of modern cars for the Tashkent metro is funded by VEB of the Russian Federation with the support of the National Bank of Uzbekistan.
“At present, within the framework of the project, in addition to the financing provided to the Uzbek side in the amount of €19.62 million, VEB of the Russian Federation issued guarantees to ensure obligations of the JSC Metrovagonmash under the contract for €25 million of the stipulated €27.65 million,” the Deputy Chairman of the RF VEB Daniil Algulyan said.
Supporting the export of Russian high-tech products is in line with the goals of the national project “International cooperation and export”.
