$13.48 billion capital to be injected into Uzbek economy in 2019

It is expected that in 2019, 112.251 trillion soums ($ 13.48 billion) total capital will be injected into Uzbekistan’s economy. Of these, 56.5 trillion soums ($ 6.8 billion) will be foreign investments, Kun.uz correspondent reports citing the presidential decree on the Implementation of the Investment Program.
According to the document, over 4 trillion soums will be directed to the development of material and technical basis of educational and medical institutions. In addition, funds will be channeled to improve drinking water supply system and land reclamation, development of motor roads and the Aral Sea region.
Furthermore, the decree approved the list of investment projects to be implemented in 2019.
Earlier, it was reported that the president approved the investment program for 2019.
